Serengeti — NO farmer will be allowed to continue cultivating tobacco without planting trees in the Tanzanian wildlife-rich district of Serengeti, government officials have warned, pledging close supervision.
Serengeti officials said they are introducing a special farmers' register that will ensure that production of tobacco does not cause environmental threat in the district widely seen with virgin environment.
