LUBBOCK, Texas (CNN) -- A newborn girl was reunited with her mother on Sunday at a Lubbock, Texas, hospital after police arrested a woman in connection with her kidnapping, authorities said. Authorities in Clovis, New Mexico, found 4-day-old Mychael Dawodu early Sunday, a day after her abduction from Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Authorities were extremely concerned about the baby's health because she was born with jaundice, a common condition in newborns that can become serious without treatment.(Watch a hospital official describe receiving the good news ) "The baby looks to be in good condition," Clovis Police Chief Dan Blair told CNN. The suspect, 21-year-old Rayshaun Parson, was under arrest in Clovis and faces a Monday extradition hearing before a judge there, said Matt Chandler, the district attorney for Curry County, New Mexico.(Watch how baby was recovered and alleged kidnapper caught ) There is no indication that she had any ties to the baby's family, Lubbock police spokesman Lt. Scott Hudgens said. Clovis is about 100 miles northwest of Lubbock. Alleged kidnapper wore 'scrubs'Police said the abductor had apparently impersonated an employee at the Lubbock hospital, where surveillance video showed the kidnapper wearing a heavy winter coat over blue medical scrubs. Parson was apprehended near a home where she had apparently dropped off the infant to be looked after, Blair said. Lubbock police got a tip shortly after midnight Saturday that a woman matching the Amber alert description had been spotted in Clovis, Hudgens said. Lubbock police contacted authorities in Clovis police, who recovered the child about 3 a.m. Parson faces an aggravated kidnapping charge in Texas, but Hudgens said that will be weighed against any possible federal charges. The infant had been wearing a security bracelet -- the kind placed on all newborns -- when she was abducted, but the bracelet was removed, Covenant's senior vice president Gwen Stafford said. Police were called about 1 a.m. Saturday and an Amber alert was immediately issued. "The hospital has a very sophisticated state-of-the-art security system, which is of course backed up with camera surveillance throughout the hospital," Stafford said. However, she acknowledged that there are gaps in hospital security. "The impersonation of a hospital employee, we've got to work on that. All hospitals do," Stafford said. CNN's Keith Oppenheim contributed to this report. Police say newborn baby Mychael Dawodu was kidnapped from a hospital in Lubbock, Texas.
