Video shared on social media shows a journalist shouting at police in Hong Kong accusing them of shooting at members of the media during violent protests .
A group of journalists, including photographers and videographers, can be seen walking along a street as they filmed clashes between police and demonstrators taking part in a mass protest against a proposed extradition bill.
A Taiwan-based journalist can be heard shouting "Press! You’re shooting the press! You’re shooting the journalists!" before one masked officer points his tear gas gun at the man.
The cameraman who captured the moment on camera tweeted "I hope he sees how popular he is" as others commended him for standing up to the police.
Violent clashes broke out in Hong Kong on 12 June when police tried to stop protesters storming the city’s parliament, as tens of thousands took to the streets in a show of strength against government plans to allow extraditions to China.

Earlier in the day police in riot gear, armed with rifles, used batons, pepper spray cannons, rubber bullets, and beanbag rounds to disperse protesters, who sought to protect themselves using umbrellas, wrapping their skin in clingfilm and wearing helmets, masks and goggles.
Hong Kong's police commissioner defended the use of force against demonstrators who took part in the protests.
