Protests have taken place six nights in a row in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where 20-year-old Daunte Wright was fatally shot by a police officer during a traffic stop.
Some of the demonstrations have turned violent, with police clashing with protesters outside of the Brooklyn Center Police Department.
Wright, a Black man, was killed Sunday by a police officer, identified by authorities as Kim Potter, during a routine traffic stop. Police have described it as an accidental shooting, saying the officer intended to deploy a Taser but instead fired a gun.
Potter submitted a resignation letter on Tuesday, and she was charged Wednesday with second-degree manslaughter.
